Our Values

Hi, my name's Ed Pascoe, Director & Founder of Freedom Camps.

I founded the charity in 2023 as I saw a decline in numbers of young people and families in Churches.

95% young people do not attend Church (Scripture Union)

Only 35% of those in Churches are men (Tearfund)

We want to change this!

I have been a Youth and Children's Minister for almost 10 years, having worked at Frant Church, nr. Tunbridge Wells, where I helped create and develop the outdoor ministry there. I now work for Tonbridge Parish Church.

I am a trained Forest School Practitioner and Qualified GB Archery Coach, and have a passion for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through fun, outdoor, action packed activities.

Our aim is to help Churches to connect with their local communities and see them thrive, through events such as Kids Activity Camps, Dad's & Kids Trips, Men's Events and Family Camps.

See our values below and use the links above to find out more.

Highlight the Church

One of the principal aims of Freedom Camps is to connect people with the Church and, ultimately, help to encourage people to attend. We will work with you, in any way we can, to see this happen.

Affordable

We do not want to stand in the way of anyone hearing the good news of Jesus. Therefore, even though we need to make money to operate, we will work with you to try and keep costs low for those attending the event.

As a charity, we aim to raise funds in such ways as personal regular giving (please see the 'donate' button at top of the page if you would like to give a regular or one off amount to support our work), different fundraising events throughout the year, and Church giving. If your Church would like to give or partner with us, please contact us.

Not Ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus

We believe that the Bible is God breathed, meaning that every part of it is true and for our good. This may well reflect in any talks that we give at the event.
